Jim Stoicheff is a Santa Barbara based photographer with his lens trained on the Carrizo Plain. “The plain that has existed for millions of years is a different plain each time I visit. Flowers fade, washes appear, pavement crumbles, antique farm equipment rusts, cattle dung dots swaths, bullet holes riddle old water tanks, gates block previously open roads, fences disappear. And I am a different me each time I visit. Change is the only constant”.
